Inputs on the two tools
When a material, a thickness, a machine or a room is picked on Kerf Index, the answer is worked out by script inside the visitor's own tab. Those picks never leave the device, and closing the tab clears them.
Cookies and accounts
Kerf Index writes no cookies. Nobody signs up, logs in or posts comments here.
Server logs
Cloudflare hosts the files. To answer each request, Cloudflare's network sees the visitor's IP address, the requested URL and the user-agent string, and it uses that to stop attacks. Cloudflare's privacy statement explains how long it keeps those records.
Visitor counting
At present Kerf Index counts nobody. A Google Analytics 4 tag may be added at launch; before it goes live, this section will name the tool, the data it records and the opt-out route.
Messages to support@kerfindex.com are kept only as long as needed to reply or fix a figure. Addresses are never passed to advertisers or put on a mailing list.
