Solid wood (hardwood and softwood)
also: cherry, walnut, basswood
Hardwood and softwood are the easy case on blue diode and CO2 machines. All three makers read agree on that, and all three say a fiber source is the wrong tool for wood.

Fumes
Every page read treats lasering as a fume source. Match your machine's exhaust figure to an extractor on the fume and room lookup.
